Fruits were purchased for Rs 350. 9 boys ate 35\frac{3}{5} of them in 2 hours. 6 boys feel their stomach as full so do not eat further. In how many hours the remaining fruits will get finished by remaining boys?

Correct Option: 4
Given: \newline - 9 boys ate 35\frac{3}{5} of fruits in 2 hours \newline - Then 6 boys stop eating, leaving 3 boys \newline - Remaining portion = 135=251 - \frac{3}{5} = \frac{2}{5} of fruits
Let's find the time (t)(t) needed for 3 boys to eat the remaining fruits:
Rate at which fruits are eaten: \newline - 9 boys eat 35\frac{3}{5} in 2 hours
- 9 boys eat 310\frac{3}{10} per hour
For remaining boys: \newline - 3 boys eat 310×13=110\frac{3}{10} \times \frac{1}{3} = \frac{1}{10} per hour (Divided by 3 because there are 3 boys now)
- They need to eat 25\frac{2}{5} portion
Time needed = portion to eatrate of eating\frac{\text{portion to eat}}{\text{rate of eating}}
t=25110=25×101=4t = \frac{\frac{2}{5}}{\frac{1}{10}} = \frac{2}{5} \times \frac{10}{1} = 4 hours
Therefore, it will take 4 hours for the remaining fruits to be finished.
