Raj invested Rs 76000 in a business. After few months Monty joined him and invests Rs 57000. At the end of the year, both of them share the profits at the ratio of 2:1. After how many months Monty joined Raj?

Correct Option: 1
The ratio of investments and the ratio of profits are always equal.
Raj invested for the full 12 months, while Monty invested for, say xx months becase he joined a bit late.
So, 76000×1257000x=21\frac{76000\times12}{57000x}=\frac{2}{1}
x=76000×1257000×2=8x=\frac{76000\times12}{57000\times2}=8 months
Monty invested for 8 months, which would mean he joined after 128=412-8=4 months
