One-fifth of a number is equal to 58\frac{5}{8}th of another number. If 35 is added to the first number, it becomes four times the second number. Find the second number.

Correct Option: 3
Let the first number be xx and second number be yy, then:
x5=5y8\frac{x}{5}=\frac{5y}{8}, x=25y8x=\frac{25y}{8}
and x+35=4yx+35=4y
which, we can rewrite as: 25y8+35=4y\frac{25y}{8}+35=4y
4y25y8=354y-\frac{25y}{8}=35
7y8=35\frac{7y}{8}=35
y=40y=40
