Area of Shaded region = (Area of the full circle) − - 22 times the area of Circle M (Because Circle M and L are basically the same)
Diameter of Circle M = 1515 feet
Radius of Circle M = 7.57.5 feet
Area of Circle M = π(7.5)2=56.25π\pi(7.5)^2 = 56.25\pi square feet
Diamter of the full circle =15+15=30=15+15=30 feet, thus radius =15=15 feet
Area of the full circle =π(15)2=225π=\pi(15)^2=225\pi square feet
Area of Shaded region = 225π−2(56.25π)=225π−112.5π225\pi-2(56.25\pi)=225\pi-112.5\pi
Therefore, Area of shaded region is 112.5π112.5\pi square feet
